MONEY MATTERS The Israel unit of currency is the New Israeli Shekel (NIS),There are There International main banks in Israel, Leumi, Hapoalim, First International All offer a currency exchange service. ATM’s are conveniently located all around the big cities, including Two at the International Airport arrivals area. ATM facilities are also available at major hotels and stores. but those charge a high commission so try to avoid them. DRIVING Vehicles are driven on the left hand side of the road. The maximum road speed limit is 50kmph in the town and villages and 70kmph outside of populated areas and 90-120kmph at Highways. Drivers of all vehicles are required to have a valid driver’s license issued including a current international driver’s license. We recommend Hiring a car Israel Isn't that big of a country and fairly easy to drive from each point (approx.. 620 km \ 8 hours drive from top to bottom). MEDICAL SERVICES Medical services are available and there are well-equipped hospitals with Israeli trained staff situated in the major cities , There are also well stocked pharmacies all around the cites, however on the weekends (Shabbat) be sure to find out which braches are open.as every city has designated Pharmacy that remain open.
